To say I am hype is a HUGE understatement

This has been on my TBR for a long time now. As an Asian American, I am always on the hunt for books with Asian representation. This is also a fantasy book (WHICH I LOVE LOVE LOVE) so you already know I’m counting down the days until release. Asian representation in media has been more prevalent in these past few years but when I first started reading, it basically wasn’t a thing. And now to have rep in fantasy books where the main character sounds like she has crazy tunnel vision? Hype is an understatement. I cannot wait. Honestly Ning sounds like a badass. She sounds like she is ready to tear the world down for her family and I cannot wait to read how far she is willing to go and how this is going to affect her moral compass (if it even will). I think the idea of family is very important in Asian culture so I’m excited to see how this is going to play out. Oh can’t also forget about the LOVE INTEREST! I am a sucker for romance in fantasy books. Basically this checks off all of my boxes. I cannot wait to dive into Lin’s expanse world building and intricate character development!
