The first 3 lines had me absolutely hooked.
The cover of this book was absolutely beautiful. The colors immediately caught my attention. The cover would 100% convince me to buy this book without even reading anything about it.
As I read, Judy I. Lin's writing was able to transport me into this story. I felt anxious for Ning and her work to get herself out of the house without being noticed. I felt the fog and a cool night as she went on her way. I really related to the last lines of the first look where Ning talked about feeling like she was orbiting her family and going on her own journey rather than being and going with them. I cannot wait to read more of this book.
