It took me a second to appreciate this very busy cover but there is definitely something pleasing about the aesthetics. The story itself sounds like a very interesting fantasy and like a book I would read based solely on its description. It’s the type of book I naturally reach for and I love a debut author. I do like the immediate heads up that this will be a duology and as much as I like standalones, I feel like there need to be more of these in the world.
