From the beginning, you're given a beautiful picture of the world we're about to explore. "...palms colored by the stain of the earth, fingers scarred from thorns..." - it's absolutely beautiful and I can already feel the main character's emotions just in this tiny opening. Moving further, we are instantly thrown into the action which is something I appreciate in a story.
The cover is absolutely gorgeous. The fish swimming like the steam in the air from the tea, the way the person on the cover matches the color and flow of everything as well...it's beautiful!
