The idea of performing a task to win a favor from royalty reminds me a bit of Daughter of the Moon Goddess by Sue Lynn Tan, which I loved. This book has the added intrigue of tea magic, which is a magic system that I don’t think I have ever read in another book, and the main character’s guilt for family sorrow. I am excited to uncover more about what really happened within this family, because I can already tell there is more than meets the eye going on in this book.
