This short preview is so beautiful in a melancholy way. I felt so in tune with our young narrator and how she was feeling. She studies under her father to be a physician, but longs to follow in her deceased mothers footsteps as tea master. It seems not too long ago, that she brewed a tea that killed her mother and caused her sister to become seriously ill. Now the palace is having a competition to bring on a new royal tea master. On her way to the capital to partake in the competition, she meets a mysterious figure carrying poisoner tea bricks. It seems there were be a great deal of political intrigue and my own theory is that the competition is ploy to out the person responsible for the poisonous tea bricks.
