Amanda moves to a new area with her son after her husband, Zach, decides to sell his business. She is able to make a couple of new friends in her area. She even hires one to work at the foundation that her husband has her run to give money to needy students. Another thing, she thinks she is being followed and there is only one person who knows about her past and she's not telling. Amanda has decided to tell her husband about her fear while their son is away. The problem is she won't be around to do it.
Lizzie has problems of her own and does not want to take on the case to help figure out what has happened to her past friend, Zach's wife. It is thought that he has murdered her and she is new at the firm. Extortion is not easy to deal with though. I really loved the intelligence and the twists and turns in this book.
