I’m always a little weary when it comes to thrillers involving a husband and wife because at this point it has been done a hundred times. But this story really did bring a new punch!
The author did a great job of adding in deceit and lies and a web of mystery in this novel.
It focuses on Lizzie who is a lawyer defending a man who might have killed his wife.
On top of this we are learning everyone’s dirty secrets they’ve been keeping and it creates a huge story of characters that we want to know what they have in their past.
It was a slow burn novel but it kept me engaged the entire time and like all great thrillers it packed a punch with the ending. I would read more by this author!
