A Good Marriage combines a salacious "rich people behaving badly" story with a compelling look at how well we know the people we marry and an intriguing mystery. It sounds like a lot to cram into one story, but Kimberly McCreight has woven together this story in a seamless manner and created one incredibly readable, compelling story. There are story-propelling twists that come consistently throughout the plot and make readers question their assumptions. I think even the most astute readers are going to have trouble guessing all of the curves that McCreight weaves into this story. There are a couple of story points I think could have used a little more explanation, but there aren't any critical threads left hanging.
