This is a mystery, legal thriller, and drama all rolled up into one, which makes the reader want to discover who done it? I enjoy that Lizzie is flawed and stuck in a job but dedicates long hours to assure financially her family can make it thru hard times. That murders happen in good neighborhoods and that good people can reach a point in relationships that make them desperate to want to lie, cheat or kill only causes you to become want to know them better. And the book does take twists and turns as to how some of the characters have gotten to where they are; from looking at their past as well as the lies they are not only telling their neighbors but also themselves. The characters are flawed and you will either like or hate them as you discover their secrets.
