Loved the blend of a legal thriller with a slow burn mystery!

Initially, it seems as if this book would be a straightforward legal thriller, focusing on a lawyer embroiled in the defense of a law-school friend now caught up in the alleged murder of his wife. As the book went on, the characters' plots all became more intertwined, with the grand jury transcripts and prison phone calls only adding to the intrigue. Overall, I really enjoyed this one--even the legal procedural aspects didn't take away from the pacing of the story (as a lawyer, this kind of technical information often distracts me from being able to enjoy a book). I definitely did not see the ending coming at all and was hooked from beginning to end!! It seems like this book is set to be one of the big summer reads!
