To be honest, I wanted to like this book more than I did. Despite the exciting plot and a great writing style, A GOOD MARRIAGE by Kimberly McCreight was not as engaging as I had hoped. The first half of the book is slow and a little bit of a drag. I found myself in no hurry to pick up this book after a reading break. Also, I wish that this book had more courtroom scenes than just a page or two.

What I DO like about this book is that Kimberly McCreight did a fantastic job in keeping me guessing whodunit until the very end. This book has plenty of flawed characters with tragic backgrounds, making everyone is a suspect. Every time I thought that I had it figure out, the plot took a different turn. I had fun in that aspect.

I will still suggest that you read this one because of the high rating on Goodreads. You might like this book more than me, especially if you like a good, twisty thriller with a slow burn.
