This is an intriguing domestic thriller/mystery. Lizzie, a lawyer, has been contacted by a college friend who is in need of someone to represent him as his wife has been murdered. With reluctance she agrees to take the case. As Lizzie tries to unravel she discovers that the woman who was murdered, Amanda, had a secret past. She is also dealing with her own marital issues and begins to wonder if she can trust her own husband. The book alternates between Lizzie's and Amanda's stories and it was interesting how the two plots tied together. There are many secrets, twists, and surprises. I couldn't stop turning the pages of this book and it kept me guessing until the end. After reading this book, I definitely want to read more from this author.
