This book gets a solid 4.5 stars from me, even though it was a bit of a slow burn. I was intrigued once I made it past the first 50 pages and read it in a two day span. If you like crime shows or murder podcasts, I highly recommend this one! I enjoyed the witness accounts and e-mails as it really made the reader feel they were looking at the case as well. It was not cheesy and predictable as many thrillers can be, but had a good amount of twists throughout to keep the reader guessing and trying to solve. While solving a crime, it also touched on topics of alcoholism and the difficulties of marriage in general. I appreciated the depth and research the author had clearly put in to writing this story. Overall a winner for me!
