The section if the book I read captivated me from the very beginning. Lizzie, a corporate lawyer receives a call a call from a former law school friend Zach whose been arrested for the murder of his wife. The story is told from by Lizzie and Amanda, Zach’s wife.
Though we are not told a lot about the background of Lizzie or Amanda we can deduce a lot from what is there. There is something that has Amanda and her son afraid. A series of strange phone calls leaves her on edge. Lizzie is in a lifeless marriage and a job in which struggles to be present in. The character set up makes me want to know more.
I enjoyed the court room transcript section and details of away soirée. It sets the sets the stage like an Agatha Christie mystery.
