A Good Marriage by Kimberly McCreight is a brilliantly twisty thriller that makes you really think about the people around you: friends, family, and acquaintances. This story follows an attorney who gets a call from an old friend who has been convicted of killing his wife. It sounds like an innocent cry for help but soon turns into a fast paced game of cat and mouse. I will admit that I don't usually enjoy thrillers that follow the anything involving the courtroom, but McCreight's descriptions of law procedures were accessible and easy to follow. I really liked the rawness of the main character--she is definitely not perfect and not what I expected. The ending is unbelievable (in a good way!) and I stayed up way too late to see the conclusion to its end. I highly recommend this book for those who love thrillers, even if you lean more toward domestic thrillers as I do. You won't be disappointed!
