Highly recommend! Didn't know until the last few pages how this would end. Part legal thriller, part domestic suspense with a strong case for premarital counseling and grief therapy/trauma counseling. McCreight writes so many well-developed characters and weaves them into each others' lives so adeptly that the twists and turns make sense. It does explore what friendship means. Although it's a complex read, there is a simple message about being a good person and doing the right thing & surrounding yourself with the same.
