Maybe because I was formerly a teacher at one of the top independent schools in NYC, I could see myself at Brooklyn Country Day. Maybe because I knew parents like both Amanda and Sarah, who felt that they were 'entitled' to take demand meetings when they felt threatened or the need to direct behaviors of the administration team, I was taken back to my life as a young, unmarried, and less financially secure. Maybe because I graduated from a prestigious college, married and I am quite comfortable financially, I know of the existence of the old-boy network, such that Zach uses to get Lizzie to come down to Rikers Island. Not knowing how the story will unfold, I did not find that the cover matched what I read in the First Impression. I am interested in why the author chose the title, A Good Marriage, since no marriage is perfect and good means different things to different people. Bottom line, I am excited to see how my "connections" and characters, I mentioned above with my First Impression reading evolve in this book.
