First off I loved the ripped element of the book cover, showing something buried and almost sinister. It definitely fits the title as there are two lovers or spouses lying together on the cover.
I enjoyed the fast pacing right away from the first few sentences into the first chapter. I also enjoyed that there were snippets from the court case which adds an interesting perspective to the story, I am also quite fond of books that switch between character viewpoints so I think that was a great idea in this type of murder mystery.
This little snippet definitely has me wanting to see how the story unfolds and read more!
