This is the first review where I've actually added it to my TBR list before I finished reading the sample. Love the variety of perspectives in the first few chapters - each one introduces a new character but even though they're out of sync chronologically, it's not confusing and they're clearly all tied together. The prologue is pleasantly vague, can't tell for certain whose perspective it is, but comfortable with knowing in time; the not knowing doesn't detract from anything that comes next. The personalities of each character come through in a witty, realistic way, and I can tell the legal procedure will be accurately detailed from the chapter that includes the grand jury testimony excerpt. This is described as a book about marriage more than about murder, and I like the cover, maybe because it feels like it could be either a live woman in bed with her partner or a dead woman with a man nearby. I definitely want to read more about all of these characters and learn what happened and why.
