I genuinely loved this book and how it represents the Chinese-Vietnamese culture. As a Vietnamese American, it's rare to find Vietnamese representation in books, and being represented in fantasy book just makes me feel so seen as a person. The story was very captivating and I just fell into the story, it felt very fast paced and I read it in one sitting! I hardly read books in one sitting but I couldn't get up until the book was finished. I mean what is there not to love? It has pirates, Asian representation, and it's queer, there's also the one bed trope. It's a retelling of Treasure Island which follows these two girls to find this legendary treasure. The romance was so cute and it was definitely a slow burn between the two girls, Xiang and Anh and I was smiling with every of their interactions and moments together with the romantic tension. I definitely recommend this book. 5/5 stars!
