Anh needs her help to decode the hidden map that was hidden in the necklace by Xiang's father. Xiang finally has a chance for a real life adventure!
She sets sail with Anh and her crew and becomes part of their chosen family. Anh and Xiang become closer and start to fall in love, while encountering the dangers of the sea and those who sail it.
I loved how this book pulls you into a completely new world - you get to experience so much through Xiang's eyes. We all go through times when we want more out of life, and this book captures that feeling so well. It's great to see her pursue more and grow as a person.
There is a bit to wade through at first - stick with it for a great adventure!
