Twenty pages in and I am completely sold and invested in this main character! I love the historical fiction transporting us back to a simpler time, when girls climbed trees to watch the sea , and whose tutor scolds her for taking books from the library. I am so intrigued to learn more about these well written characters, and where adventure will take them. I hope this is part of a series!!! This year has not had enough Chinese voices or Chinese stories, I am anxious to read and share this book with my followers across social media. This cover is up there with my fave of the year, next to Joan He The Ones We're Meant to Find and Chloe Gong Our Violent Ends.
