I really like how this book is very much centered around girls/women. The main pirate leader, who the main chacacter is looking for, is a woman. The mian character is a girl, the other person helping the main chacacter find the pirate leader is a slo a girl. It's nice being able to (hopefully!) read more fanatsy stories that are fully centered around girls and women.
