First of all, the cover art is stunning! If I saw this book in a store it would definitely catch my eye.
Secondly, that the book is queer made me way too excited for the rest of the story.
I really like the author’s writing style and have to say the great use of metaphors stood out to me almost instantly. The prologue is interesting and almost immediately prepares the reader for the direction the story will go (by introducing the stories of the pirates).
Both girls that we're introduced seem really likeable so far although it’s probably a bit early to judge.
Well, I’m definitely hooked and I now want to read this book!
(small note to address): I live in Germany and not the US but I had to select a state from those suggested so I chose Alabama while definitely not living there. Sorry 😅
