I'm enjoying the trend of retelling popular stories with more diverse characters and backgrounds. It really shows how much of the themes that make these stories popular are universal and relatable to people of all backgrounds. This sounds like a cute approach to Treasure Island - not necessarily for me but I appreciate the variety it brings!
