The first look was very short giving just a taste of the story to come. The authors writing style clearly comes through, however. The story is full of descriptions of a world we will be about to explore. Anh is introduced first as a young girl, brave and fearless in the face of a storm pummeling her mother's ship. We learn from her the story of Zheng Yi Sao as a fierce pirate who amassed a fortune that she hid away, but no one knows where. We next meet Xiang, who has yet to experience the ocean but clearly longs to. She enjoys watching the ocean and has just received word of her mother's return home. From the book's description, there is a big tale about to unfold. This seems like a wonderful book I would like to read.
