Immediately, I was drawn into this story. As a reader who has always been reluctant to the classics, this preview made me so excited, not only to get to know this story, but to learn it in a way that has incredible representation of Chinese characters, history and locale. The author has a clear grasp on imagery and plot, and I know this will be such an adventure to read!
