Super Interesting Idea, Not Good Execution

I read this book really quickly and it did have a fantastic plot idea, but the execution wasn't that great. I was thoroughly disappointed in this book from beginning to middle, to the absolutely horrible end. The writing is cliche and mediocre at best, and there’s absolutely no flow for most of the book. It made it pretty hard to follow or even be interested in, but the entire absurdity of the plot kept me engaged enough. Quick note- about 80% of the way through the entire plot just jumps out the window. It was a really frustrating read because everything just happens to work out perfectly and it’s awful to watch these character's development seems to plateau as the pages go on. There were some wonderful beginnings of ideas to push these characters further, but everything was resolved by the next paragraph and the kids left to their same tendencies. Dylan is agnozingly creepy and although the boy just can’t seem to get over his crush can sometimes be a cute trope this one is just hurtful to read and really uncomfortable. I felt myself shifting nervously every time he made an appearance. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT HE WAS ROMANTIC AND I HOPE ANYONE READING THIS IS AWARE THAT HE IS CREEPY AND MANIPULATIVE AND NOT AT ALL ROMANTIC OR SWEET. He is one of, if not the worst, love interest I've ever read. Our main character, KT is so mean to everyone around her, including the people she has yet to meet/ about to meet, her own mother, and her best friend. She eventually becomes a bit of a nicer person, but never apologizes for her past behavior and also didn't seem to grow but rather just transformed unrealistically into another person. Also who actually gets that mad when their hair dye washes out? Sasha is pretty dull, I’d write something about her, but I honestly know nothing about her as a person but rather only how she related to KT. Also, she could've totally been my favorite character but she isn't around for the most of the book, which was disappointing. Her mom, Kim is really mopey.. like there might be something wrong with her (and I’m not just talking about the steady cycle of boyfriends she has). Her ending and the ending, in general, was just completely horrendous. It was a haphazard ending for a book riddled with plot holes. I was so excited to see where the synopsis would take me, but it was overall a waste of my time
