The cover of this book is very nostalgic and inviting, and the description sounds great! I was super excited to read the first chapter. However, I couldn't get into the story. The prologue was confusing, the way it was written. The voice of the first character was super annoying. I'm not sure if it was the writing style or the character's personality, but I felt she was super overdone. A lot of the details just on the first few pages were too made up to be believable, or they felt irrelevant. I'm curious if the other characters are written differently or if the whole book is that way, but I'm not curious enough to read further. This is sad, because the premise of the book is great. Maybe a movie would work out well?
