After years of watching her mom date loser after loser, KT is ready to search for her father, sperm donor 806. She puts in his donor number on a site that helps bring donors and their donor children together only to find out that she has two brothers, Jesse and Gabe, that live in her town. After meeting up they decide they want to go find their donor father and head out on an adventure that will change them all in the end.
I gave this book three stars because I liked it all the way up to the end. The way this story came to a close is just not what I was expecting. That being said, everything up until then was great. You go on an adventure with three siblings that could not be any more different from one another if they tried. The bonds they share by the end of their trip are precious. I really enjoyed reading this book.
Weil’s does a great job of highlighting each of the characters personalities. You can feel KT’s aggression and stubbornness, how down to earth Jesse is, and Gabe’s innocence. These characters together worked wonderfully. One thing I thought really wasn’t needed was the “romance” between KT and her band mate Dylan.
