The beginning of "806" provided a good start for a story. Yes, I do want to know what happens when KT finds her father. The teenage voice of the narrator is very realistic. Her disgust for her mother's failed romances and general behavior seemed real.
Does she have her own romance(s)? Does she handle them better than her mother? What are her father's memories of her mother? And why did he leave? Lots of possibilities for where this story could go.
