Not a terrible book but not great either. I wanted a better love story.

My biggest complaint is that it read as if it was sporadically written. As if the pieces didn’t coherently line up. As I read the book, I kept thinking chunks of the story were missing. There were times it read as if entire paragraphs had been deleted and parts of the story were lost.

The book began as a normal dystopian work: world is destroyed and generations later have tried to prevent it from happening again by convincing citizens that sameness equals safeness.

Soon, girl meets boy, boys likes girl, but (here's an unneeded twist), boy sleeps with different girl. I felt that part didn't' really add to the story in any way and hindered the book from becoming a good love story.
