Disclaimer: I am a microbiologist who loves genetics and human evolution so this story is right up my alley. And also kudos to BookishFirst for bringing back the long excerpts.
I have questions about how different the clones are to the humans because in terms of looking the same they look pretty human, so are the clones just insisting that they are special little snowflakes or are they actually telling the truth? Next, who in the blazes thought that cloning a human, a species that is known to need to be in pack, and making it separate from the rest of the population thought that that was a good idea? No wonder he has problems he had been socially neglected his whole life! Also, what is with the clones not understanding music?! That is fundamentally a human thing to do! So was it genetically edited out of them? How do all the clones have the same personality in comparison to each other? I could keep going but you get the idea, I have a lot of questions and I am worried that they all will not be answered in the book. Either way I will still need to read the book to find out!
