I was hooked from the beginning. I immediately felt compassion for Jack. He's the only human in a world full of clones. These clones never get sick or have diseases. They all communicate with each other through shared feelings. Jack is a complete outsider. The reader is unsure why the clones made Jack, other than hints that the clones are losing something.

Jack discovers music and in doing so also discovers that the clones don't hear or understand music. I'm excited to see what happens.
