I won a copy of this book in a Goodreads Giveaway and I hoped it would be something interesting. Unfortunately, it's just a lot of reiteration of basic common sense. It may help someone who doesn't actively think about or analyze their world in coming to these basic truths, but for the average individual, it won't be anything new. Ultimately, all it does is rehash the need for active listening within the life of the individual. It focuses on a need to be present when conversation occurs. Basically, the author is saying everything that most of us heard from our parents and or grandparents growing up. If you're in your 30s, this is a been there, done that, bought the t-shirt kind of book. You're not missing out if you skip it.
