I loved this beautiful book. The way the story was told with the young protagonist who displayed courage and strength beyond her years. Using a young woman was perfect for this tale and how she used her gifts was so clever.

The Bolivian inspired tale and conflict was both beautiful and tragic. It seems strange for me to say that this book was so beautiful when it contains so much ugly death, violence and betrayal, but the descriptions of the countryside, the moonlight and the tapestries were almost breathtaking. I would warn everyone that the violence is graphic and hard to take, but necessary to the story being told.

I could picture the tapestries in my mind and they were obviously beautiful. How could they not be as they were woven in moonlight. I want some of these tapestry animals, at every mention of them I smiled. They were definitely a fun addition to the tale.
