Gorgeous.

First off, let me get the cover out of the way. I absolutely LOVE the cover. It is what initially drew me into the book. The premise was the second. It was such an interesting idea that I had to try it. I was not disappointed. I thoroughly enjoyed the ups and downs within the pages. It was a four star read for me because of the ending. I felt like the book was a little bit dragged out compared to how quickly everything was wrapped up at the end. It was like everything was moving along at a certain pace and then BAM the big reveal, climax, and the ending all happened way too quickly. I was very happy with how it ended, I just wish it would have been slightly different.

If you enjoy unique magic, enemies to lovers, betrayal, evil (false) kings and, if you're like me, possibly learning about a culture different from your own, you will enjoy this beautiful book.
