I really enjoyed this book overall. I regret not getting it for my library as it is gorgeous and well done.

what i enjoyed: The premise is not the newest, but I feel this was well told. I enjoyed the characters and feel they have great potential. I would hope this would be made into a series where it could go further which leads to what I did not like.

What i didn't: i felt the character depth was surface level at best. If this is a planned series-- not sure if it is-- the characters needed much more development. Also, the development of the history could be more done up.
As a single book, I enjoyed this overall-- 4 stars. If this is going to be a series it was a slightly meek opening book and I would give it 3 stars for lack of setting up a series.
