I adored how the author based the story on her culture, just including the details based off of the past of her country, and including treats of her country just really made this so heartwarming to read. I love love love loveeeeeeee how she portrays the characters. They're so determined and I feel mature, which is hard to get in YA sometimes. The plot is interesting and I like how there really isn't "a bad side" there are grey characters who believe what they're doing is right, and better for the people they care about. The tension and love between the characters are so heart touching and I loved how bright and refreshing the author's writing was... well done! I enjoyed this very very much.
