I didn't think I would enjoy this as much as I did, mostly becuse I've never heard of this book before but it was great. I loved that the magic was consistent throught the whole book but that it was only slight and I didn't get sick of it. I love the setting, it was amazing reading about a different culture that I knew almost nothing of. The main character Ximena is an incredible heroine and I admire her for her strenght and witts. I didn't enjoy the romance that much, just couldn't get myself into it and I think it would be just as good ( if not even better) if there wasn't any romance at all. Still, it was pretty good and I highly recommend you read this, especially if you like fantasy books.
