Beautifully written and endlessly creative
Oh my gosh, what a gorgeous book this was! I think it's first useful to note just how beautiful this cover is and that it's what really first drew my attention. I love that the author did the artwork herself--it adds such a personal touch and adds so much to the story.
This is one of those books where I almost don't want to go into any detail at all about this book because it's just so stunning and magical and you need to explore it all for yourself for the first time. That being said, I can still comment on how much I loved the magical elements in this book and how Ibanez brought everything to life with her wonderful prose. It was such a creative way to use and incorporate magic and I just can't rave about it enough.
