What a fantastic debut.

I will admit to first being drawn in by this stunning cover, but as soon as I started reading, I couldn't put Woven in Moonlight down. Its subtle magic and lush Bolivian background is captivating, and I loved Ximena's fierce loyalty. Other characters, namely Rumi, the Princesa, Juan Carlos, and El Lobo (I kept reading in anticipation of his identity) added richness as well. And Atoc was a formidable adversary.

Isabel Ibanez has created a magical book that will appeal not only to her YA target audience, but anyone looking for a powerful story. I enjoyed every minute of it.

And who can resist a book with a sloth? Truly, this book was a pleasure.
