I felt a bit like I am at work, with some of the staff throwing random Spanish phrases into an otherwise English conversation. It works with some fantasy books and magic words but here it's just confusing, even though there was only one word I didn't recognize.
Also magic is mentioned but none of it is explained yet. We are thrown into a situation with little background and I'm just not interested!
