Fantasy is not the usual genre I read; however, I found the description of the novel compelling. The setting drew me in, and the descriptive world-building kept me reading.
By the time I finished the first scene, I knew I wanted to know more. The pace moves well with the potential and actual conflicts as well as the interesting characters. I held my breath in a couple of places. By the last line, all I could say was, "WOW!"
