This sample's cover immediately caught my eye- it's very pretty and captures the magical aspects of the story. The prose is a well-mixed variety of fantasy elements with a more serious/grounded historic tone. Easily comprehensible yet elegant writing. I do think there should be more of a clearer introduction at the start, as this book starts off with a lot going on and a murky direction. It wasn't hard to get sucked in though, and I'll definitely keep an eye out when it's released in the future.
