Well this book was my random pick because I was in a reading slump which has me by its claws. The reading slumps sometimes make me so antsy, I start 10-15 books together and just finish the first chapters of each, until I find anyone which will help me continue reading. This time I have some great picks in my current reads but the slump has dug its claws deep in my bookish brain. So, this book was a random scroll and click pick and it was a quick read, so I picked it up and surprise!! It had a bit of science that I really love.

The cover was the most attractive and it made me very curious about the story and the ribboned up face. The start of the story was in such a chilling flow that I was actually immersed into it, the plotline and the characters were a bit vague but it got clearer as and when I got into the story. The way this book is written makes you hope for a drastic outcome or an even more dramatic hidden plot but I was quite surprised that the story has quite simple but with the utmost impact. The emotions of rage, change, disease outbreak, isolation, survival hit me so hard and a few details made me like this book in a milder and different way than the others.

This book sure has a class of its own in terms of the flow of writing, character development, landscape and the finale. Everything was in its own way a surreal yet pleasing experience of having to imagine and encounter the good, dark and frightful sides of this novel. This is quite a touching story of girls who have been fated to see and live with a disease in its own wake, death, hope and betrayal in dire circumstances all in a hopelessly isolated island. I would recommend this book for all of you if you would like a quick read with some science.
