This was wonderfully built; the plotline, the characters, the secrets, everything just worked together spectacularly.
I really enjoyed how it was told by the two girls, and how the life of the last girl was really mysterious. It was really interesting to see how the world dealt with this "illness" and how they were trying to go about fixing it.
Now, I do wish the author had spent a bit more time focusing on the morality questions this "illness" introduced. It felt like every choice that was made wasn't questioned, and it made it seem like no one really cared what was happening on the island. I also feel like the beginning just dragged on a bit, making the ending feel like it didn't have as much development/went too fast. The pacing was my only real issue with this book, everything else fit really well and made this a really great book.
