Thank you so much to Delacorte Press and Bookish First for the free copy of this book for my honest review.

This book was so beyond anything I’ve read before and for that reason alone I loved it so much. It instantly hooked me in and I was dying to know what would happen next. Rory Power’s debut novel is a must-read for 2019!

This story follows Hetty as she’s at a boarding school for girls when the tox hits. Everyone starts getting sick and as they have their flare-ups, some don’t make it through. When her best friend Byatt goes missing, Hetty with the help of her friend Reese must venture outside of the school and the quarantine area to find her.

This book was so fast paced and had no boring or dull moments for me. It was so interesting to read about this tox and what it was doing to all of these girls and how they had to live while it was going on. The plot was great and I loved all of the characters, especially Hetty. Even with everything going on and them fighting each other to survive, Hetty was always worried more about the other girls than herself whether that meant she ate or not.

I’m sincerely hoping there is a sequel to this book after that ending!
