Oh wow this book...it was so much darker than I thought it would be and I LOVED it! Some scenes made my stomach turn a bit (warnings for graphic violence and gore) but I loved the dark and gritty feel of the story. A feminist twist on “The Lord of the Flies” that was unique and absolutely amazing. “Wilder Girls” was so different compared to any other book I’ve read. The one complaint I would have is that there wasn’t enough of the story since the ending seemed slightly rushed, but that’s just being picky. I loved these girls, the premise, and that beautiful cover as well! You will not want to miss this one when it releases on July 9th.
